The funds of Slutsk Museum of Local History has an extensive collection of ethnographic materials related to Slutsk region. For the purpose of more complete acquaintance with them residents of the region and its guests, popularization of the historical past in 2001, a branch "Life and occupation of the peasants of Slutsk district of the XIX — early XX centuries" was opened. In 2006, due to the extensive exhibition activities, the decision of the Slutsk District Executive Committee renamed the branch into the Ethnography Museum.
Visitors can see national costumes, household items, and the best samples of weaving, wickerwork and woodworking. On a small area there is a rich exposition that gives a complete picture of the life and occupation of villagers.
Every year, the Ethnography Museum organizes exhibitions of arts and crafts, as well as master classes, where Slutčina masters reveal the secrets of our ancestors' craftsmanship to young and adult countrymen.
